Baseball Recap: Cayuga Takes a Loss

Cayuga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Kerens Bobcats, falling 21-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Cayuga saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colt Mullican, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Cayuga's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Kerens, their win was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

While Cayuga had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
