Flag Football Game Preview: George Washington Patriots vs. Denver West Cowboys

The George Washington Patriots will square off against the Denver West Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

George Washington will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up six points on Monday, then bounced right back against Hinkley on Tuesday. The Patriots blew past the Thunder 32-12.

George Washington's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. The heavy lifting was done by Brooke Hunter and Jada McConnell-Ashe, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Meanwhile, Denver West entered their tilt with Bruce Randolph on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 46-24 victory. The Cowboys' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Denver West's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for George Washington, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 8-6.
