Volleyball Recap: Calvary Lutheran Takes a Loss

Calvary Lutheran saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Strafford Indians.

Calvary Lutheran's offense was headlined by Sydney Foutes and Ailyn McDonald, who picked up four kills apiece. Foutes also shared the team's lead in assists with Teagan Foley: they picked up three each.

Calvary Lutheran has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-6-1 record this season. As for Strafford, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-3-2.

Calvary Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Licking on the 11th. As for Strafford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Eldon on the 11th.
