Softball Recap: Malone Takes a Loss

Malone lost against Sneads back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Malone Tigers lost 25-6 to the Sneads Pirates.

Larae Baxter was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordin Josey, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Malone's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sneads, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. As for Sneads, they are taking a road trip to take on Altha at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sneads will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
