Recap: Potomac Wolverines vs. Milford Mill Academy Millers
The Potomac Wolverines and the Milford Mill Academy Millers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Potomac Wolverines had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Millers on the road and fell 42-10. Potomac's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Marshawn Perry threw for 174 yards on 16 of 29 attempts. Raymon Lewis was his top target, picking up 86 receiving yards.
Keion Sutton was a one-man wrecking crew for Milford Mill Academy as he rushed for 268 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 15.8 yards per carry. Sutton really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run. Deshawn Purdie was another key contributor, throwing for 158 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes.
Potomac's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Milford Mill Academy, they have yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record.
Potomac does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Milford Mill Academy will head out on the road to face off against Decatur at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Decatur is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
