Volleyball Recap: Torres Takes a Loss

Torres lost against Justin Garza back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Torres Toros took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Justin Garza Guardians.

Phenix Insyarath was the offensive standout of the game as he had seven digs and two aces. That's the most digs he has posted over his last 11 contests.

Torres has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. Justin Garza has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Torres and Justin Garza could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Torres will challenge Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 252 places (439 vs. 187). Meanwhile, Justin Garza (ranked 294th) will meet Bullard (ranked 52nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
