Basketball Recap: Collegiate Triumphs

Collegiate's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins by a score of 32-23. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Makenzie Weiss was the offensive standout of the matchup as she posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.

The victory got Collegiate back to even at 4-4. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Collegiate will challenge Steward at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Western Branch at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th.
