Volleyball Recap: Cedar Bluffs Takes a Loss

Cedar Bluffs lost against Elmwood-Murdock back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Knights.

While Cedar Bluffs was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Elmwood-Murdock's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-22.

Ruthie Hanzel paced Cedar Bluffs' offense, picking up 12 kills. Hanzel got some help from Taylor Hansen and her 23 assists. Finally, Kaelyn Wolfe kept Cedar Bluffs' defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Cedar Bluffs' loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Elmwood-Murdock, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Cedar Bluffs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Pender on the 25th. As for Elmwood-Murdock, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Tri County on the 25th.
