Altoona had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Chambersburg on Monday. The Mountain Lions put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 11-2 victory. The game was the first time the Mountain Lions have beaten the Trojans on their field since April 15, 2022.

Gavin Albright was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Tanner Stroup was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Joseph Speece was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Altoona always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chambersburg only posted an OBP of .200.

Altoona's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Chambersburg, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-10.
