It was a good run, but Key West unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Lake Mary Rams by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Conchs have suffered since April 18, 2024.

Kasey Kasper was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Key West's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Lake Mary, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lake Mary beat Key West by a score of 10-8 on Wednesday.
