Baseball Recap: Norfork Sets Scoring Season-High Against Concord

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norfork). They blew past the Concord Pirates 16-4 on Saturday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Norfork's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Concord, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Norfork Panthers challenge Izard County Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Concord, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 21-11 win against Marshall on the 22nd.
