Football Recap: Sierra Timberwolves vs. Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos

Sierra and Twelve Bridges squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Sierra had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos on the road and fell 63-7. While losing is never fun, the Timberwolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Raging Rhinos are ranked 73rd).

Zak Willson threw for 250 yards and a touchdown. Tali Vaipuna was his top target, picking up 78 receiving yards.

Braeden Ward was his usual excellent self, rushing for 203 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries for Twelve Bridges. Ward really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Twelve Bridges, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Sierra does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Twelve Bridges, they will face off against Placer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Placer knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Twelve Bridges likes a good challenge.
