Basketball Recap: East Central Trojans vs. Madison Cubs
East Central easily dispatched Rushville last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The East Central Trojans fell just short of the Madison Cubs by a score of 46-43 on Thursday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cubs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

East Central's loss came despite strong showings from Teagan Leihgeber and Natalie Stenger. Leihgeber posted five points and 23 boards, while Stenger went 6 of 8 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. Those 23 rebounds gave Leihgeber a new career-high.
