Basketball Game Preview: St. Anthony Roman Legion vs. Salam

St. Anthony is 0-10 against Salam since November of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The St. Anthony Roman Legion will square off against Salam at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Anthony took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 26-9 win over Hmong Academy.

Meanwhile, Salam had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They secured a 45-40 W over St. Joan Antida/Tenor/Veritas.

Salam pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for St. Anthony, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.
