Tiverton picks up fourth straight win at home

Recap: Tiverton Tigers vs. Mt. Hope Huskies

The Tiverton Tigers won against the Mt. Hope Huskies last Wednesday with 50 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Tiverton came out on top against Mt. Hope by a score of 50-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tiverton.

Tiverton found their leader in underclassman Cami Oliveira, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jah'niece Branch, who scored 11 points.

Mt. Hope's loss came despite strong showings from Lilly DaSilveira and Emily Moran. DaSilveira scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, while Moran dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Moran is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 13 games she's played.

Tiverton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Mt. Hope, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Tiverton and Mt. Hope will both be playing Moses Brown the next time they take the court. Mt. Hope will host Moses Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Tiverton will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
