Basketball Recap: Cripple Creek-Victor Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Cripple Creek-Victor kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moffat Cowboys. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Cripple Creek-Victor lost, don't look at Dylan Reyes. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devon Reyes, who earned 11 points.

Moffat's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Preston Heater, who scored 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Tulasi McBride, who went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Looking ahead, Cripple Creek-Victor will square off against Lotus School For Excellence at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Moffat, they will challenge Gilpin County on Friday.
