Baseball Recap: Riverview Takes a Loss

Riverview had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 6-19 to make it four. They came up short against the Flat Rock Rams, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Pirates' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Flat Rock, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by eight runs or more this season.

For Flat Rock's part, David Riddle was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one double. Those three hits gave Riddle a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alex Baron, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Coming up, Riverview will face off against Richard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Flat Rock, they will host Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
