Baseball Game Preview: Pardeeville Bulldogs vs. Randolph Rockets

For the second straight game, Pardeeville will face off against Randolph. The Bulldogs will host the Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pardeeville has four straight wins, Randolph has 24 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Pardeeville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Randolph a 31-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Joe Dosemagen and Caleb Mackey made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Dosemagen pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Mackey tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Dosemagen went 1-for-5 with three runs and two RBI, while Mackey got on base in three of his six plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Mackey has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Pardeeville got a massive performance out of Logan Young, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. The dominant performance also gave Young a new career-high in RBI (five). Austin Dechert was another key player, going 4-for-6 with five runs, five RBI, and one double.

Pardeeville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive contests.

Pardeeville pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.3 runs over those games. As for Randolph, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
