Volleyball Preview: Berean Christian Eagles vs. Aragon Dons
The Berean Christian Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Aragon Dons on Saturday.
On Thursday, Berean Christian came up short against Campolindo and fell 3-1. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 21-25, 25-14, 25-10.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Anna McCombe, who had ten assists and eight digs. Amelia Horn also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.
Meanwhile, Aragon entered their tilt with Carlmont on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Scots by a score of 3-1.
Aragon walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 17-25, 25-20.
Berean Christian's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Aragon, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Berean Christian couldn't quite get it done against Aragon in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
