Volleyball Recap: Lake Region Gets the Win

Lake Region posted their closest win since April 5, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Winter Haven Blue Devils 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won three in a row.

Lake Region was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (107-90), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 11-25, 25-21, 14-25, 25-23, 15-13.

The win got Lake Region back to even at 2-2. As for Winter Haven, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Region will take on Auburndale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Winter Haven will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ridge Community at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th.
