Softball Recap: Desert Mirage RAMS vs. Cathedral City Lions        
        
		
            
 Desert Mirage lost against Cathedral City back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. The Desert Mirage RAMS suffered a  rough 17-5 loss at the hands of the Cathedral City Lions. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Desert Mirage in their matchups with Cathedral City: they've now lost six in a row.
 For Cathedral City's part,  Guadalupe Castro made a splash no matter where she played. She  pitched five innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   four  hits. Castro was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Sunangel Lopez was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Katelyn Nollen, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Desert Mirage's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Cathedral City, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Mirage's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Banning at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Cathedral City will take on Coachella Valley at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both teams will come into the  matchup having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
