Volleyball Recap: Waller Bulldogs vs. Bridge City Cardinals
Waller's tournament run continued when they took on Bridge City on Thursday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Madison Mccain paced Waller's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mccain got some help from Sasha Keys and her 14 assists.
Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaylee Britten, who had 13 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, Britten is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game. Presley Ducote was another key player, getting 11 assists and five digs.
Waller's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Bridge City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-5 record this season.
Waller wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Round Top-Carmine on the 28th. As for Bridge City, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Centennial on the 28th.
