Soccer Game Preview: Nicolet vs. Cedarburg

The Nicolet Knights will challenge the Cedarburg Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

After two halves, Nicolet and Slinger settled for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Cedarburg kept a clean sheet against New Berlin Eisenhower on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lions 1-0. The victory was all the more spectacular given Cedarburg's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 178th, while New Berlin Eisenhower are ranked 44th).

Cedarburg's one-goal win came courtesy of Liam Violetto, who's now up to two this season.

Nicolet's draw makes their record 5-5-2 this season. As for Cedarburg, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-10.
