Cobre came tearing into Tuesday's contest with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Hot Springs Tigers 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

Cobre not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hot Springs between 14 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 25-14.

Hayley Gutierrez paced Cobre's offense, picking up 25 kills. Gutierrez got some help from Isis Dominguez and her 34 assists. Sami Huerta controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Cobre's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Hot Springs, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-8.

Cobre has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Socorro on the 1st. As for Hot Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Hatch Valley on the 30th.
