Soccer Recap: Ledford Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Ledford was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lexington Yellowjackets by a score of 2-1. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Ledford's goal came courtesy of Maggie Eccard, who's now up to three this season.

Ledford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Lexington, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3-1.

Ledford wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 7-0 loss against West Davidson on the 20th. As for Lexington, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 9-0 win against North Stanly on the 20th.
