Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Rudra Patel and Logan Ruddy Lead Flanagan-Cornell to Victory

After losing to Serena the last time they met, Flanagan-Cornell decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Flanagan-Cornell Falcons came out on top against the Serena Huskers by a score of 53-41 on Saturday.

Leading Flanagan-Cornell to victory were Logan Ruddy and Rudra Patel. Ruddy dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Patel went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds. Ruddy also posted eight blocks, which is notable because Flanagan-Cornell is 9-1 when he posts at least five blocks, but 1-3 otherwise. Reece Pelnarsh was another key player, putting up nine points.

Flanagan-Cornell's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Serena, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Flanagan-Cornell will face off against Tri-Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Flanagan-Cornell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.4 points per game this season. As for Serena, they will head out to challenge St. Bede at 3:30 p.m. on January 4th.
