Basketball Recap: Clover Garden School Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Clover Garden School had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Hanna Tickle did her part to make it six on Thursday. The Clover Garden School Grizzlies took down the Eno River Academy Bobcats 31-12 thanks in part to Tickle, who posted 12 points and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Clover Garden School's points.

Another player making a difference was London Hairston, who had eight points and nine rebounds. Hairston is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Eno River Academy still got an impressive performance from Leiden Schofield, who earned six points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Schofield a new career-high.

Clover Garden School's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Eno River Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Clover Garden School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-28 loss against Falls Lake on the 10th. As for Eno River Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 36-25 defeat against East Wake Academy on the 9th.
