Softball Recap: Morehead Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Morehead had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northern Guilford Nighthawks on Wednesday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Nighthawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Morehead saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Northern Guilford and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morehead will head out to face off against Southwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northern Guilford, they will venture away from home to challenge McMichael at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
