Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mission). They enjoyed a cozy 71-52 victory over the Balboa Buccaneers on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their 12-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Balboa lost, don't look at Donovan DeSousa. Despite the final result, he went 10 for 12 on his way to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Lorenzo Manna, who posted two points.

Mission's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-12. As for Balboa, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Mission wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 83-43 win against The Academy - San Francisco on the 22nd. Balboa has also already played their next contest, a 53-36 defeat against Galileo on the 22nd.
