Recap: Bellville Brahmas vs. Needville Bluejays
The Bellville Brahmas were the 50-42 winner over the Needville Bluejays when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Bellville took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Needville on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bellville has scored all season.
Bohdan Zeitz was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points for Needville. Zeitz is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. Caden Slater was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Bellville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Needville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.
Bellville will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Royal at 7:00 p.m. As for Needville, they will head out on the road to challenge Navasota at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Navasota is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
