Baseball Recap: Serena Takes a Loss

Serena fell victim to Newark and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Norsemen. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Huskers have suffered against the Norsemen since May 11, 2022.

Serena saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Twait, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Serena and nudges their season record down to 5-12. As for Newark, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14.

While Serena had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
