Volleyball Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Hibriten Panthers. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Freedom ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-20.

Freedom's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hibriten, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Freedom will head out on the road to challenge East Burke at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hibriten, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilkes Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
