Baseball Recap: Diamond Ranch Takes a Loss

Diamond Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ontario Jaguars.

Diamond Ranch saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Lomeli, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Lomeli's first of the season. Another was Gabriel Burruel, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Diamond Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ontario, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Diamond Ranch Panthers challenge Chaffey Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Diamond Ranch is facing Chaffey at the right time seeing as Chaffey is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ontario, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Montclair at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
