Basketball Game Preview: Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks vs. Caledonia Warriors

The Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks will take on the Caledonia Warriors on Wednesday. Minnehaha Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Caledonia likes a good challenge.

If Minnehaha Academy beats Caledonia with 69 points on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Minnehaha Academy beat Visitation on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 69-46. The Red Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Caledonia had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.6 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 63-53. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly ten points.

Caledonia's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.1 points over those games. As for Minnehaha Academy, their win bumped their record up to 21-9.
