Basketball Recap: Fort Elliott Comes Up Short

Fort Elliott won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Valley Patriots and fell 55-22. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Fort Elliott's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Valley, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Fort Elliott will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Shamrock at 11:00 a.m. on December 28th. Valley will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Kress at 10:20 a.m. on December 28th.
