Dominguez is 0-10 against Mayfair since April of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Dons will be playing at home against the Monsoons at 3:15 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Dominguez is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Centennial 20-9 on Saturday. With that win, the Dons brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Angel Lopez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Ryan Flores was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Jacob Potts was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Dominguez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The home team had won the previous two meetings between Mayfair and Paramount, and Mayfair kept the tradition alive. The Monsoons were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Pirates on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Monsoons, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Dominguez, Mayfair also got a great game from a two-way player: Spencer Cummins. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Cummins has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mathew Anaya, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Zion Verduzco, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Mayfair has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Dominguez, their win bumped their record up to 6-15.
Dominguez suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Mayfair when the teams last played back in March. Will the Dons have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
