Basketball Recap: Lewistown Takes a Loss

Lewistown has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans and fell 54-18. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-5.

Lewistown lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Lexi Parker, who posted two points.

Hamilton/Warsaw's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jadyn Climer led the charge by dropping a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. Climer is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Scarlett Yuskis was another key player, going 6-for-10 from beyond the arc on her way to 20 points.

Lewistown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Lewistown didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-42 loss against Havana on the 11th. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, they will venture away from home to face off against Macomb at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
