Recap: Lake Norman Charter Knights vs. West Rowan Falcons
The Lake Norman Charter Knights pushed their score all the way to 71 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Rowan. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (62), Lake Norman Charter still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Norman Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Braden Wilkie. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. Wilkie scored a full 25.4% of Lake Norman Charter's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Irelan, who scored 13 points.
Lake Norman Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for West Rowan, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Norman Charter will take on East Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Rowan comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for West Rowan, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Lake Norman at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Lake Norman is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
