Volleyball Game Preview: Abingdon Falcons vs. John Battle Trojans + How To Watch

The Abingdon Falcons will take on the John Battle Trojans in a tournament on Thursday. Abingdon is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Abingdon's tournament run continued when they took on Central Wise on Tuesday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory.

While Abingdon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-10, 25-13.

Meanwhile, John Battle hadn't done well against Ridgeview recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Trojans came out on top against the Wolfpack by a score of 3-1. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Wolfpack on their court since October 6, 2022.

John Battle's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Abingdon, their victory bumped their record up to 23-2.

Abingdon beat John Battle 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
