Softball Recap: Central's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Central extended their winning streak to six on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 6-0 in the process. They put the hurt on the Palmer Panthers with a sharp 18-5 victory. Fans of the Golden Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

As for Palmer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Palmer's part, Ava Swist made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Central will square off against rival Smith Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Palmer is set to challenge their familiar foe Granby at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
