League recap: Camden Catholic paces Olympic - National with two wins over past week

Camden Catholic had a successful week, as it won two total games to lead the league. The Fighting Irish beat Paul Vi 12-11 and Pitman 2-1.

Behind a 1-3 record over the past week, Timber Creek Regional made the biggest jump in the national rankings, all the way from 6,115 to 6,021. The Chargers are currently No. 189 in the New Jersey state rankings, with an overall record of 8-19.

The Eagles' pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 14 hits and 16 walks, both of which led the league.

There were four hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. Leading the pack was Matt McKeowen, who hit .571 by going 4-for-7.



Tom Lang, who sits at the top of the league with a .462 batting average, finished the week at a blistering .571 clip for Paul VI.
