Softball Recap: Clearwater Takes a Loss

After flying high against Largo last Tuesday, Clearwater came back down to earth. The Tornadoes fell just short of the Dunedin Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tornadoes of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Clearwater saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madelyn Conner, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.

Clearwater's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Dunedin, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearwater will venture away from home to face off against Inspiration Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dunedin, they will head out to square off against St. Petersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons are facing the Green Devils at the right time seeing as the Green Devils are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
