Volleyball Game Preview: ConVal Cougars vs. Stark Generals

ConVal hasn't had much luck against Stark recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Generals at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

ConVal is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Hampshire's top teams: Somersworth, who was ranked fifth at the time (ConVal was ranked 11th). The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Toppers on Monday.

ConVal was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Stark came up short against Campbell on Monday, falling 3-0. The Generals have struggled against Campbell recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

ConVal's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Stark, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

ConVal skirted past Stark 3-2 when the teams last played back in October of 2023. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
