Basketball Recap: Hulbert Comes Up Short

Hulbert saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell to the Mingo Valley Christian Eagles 59-53.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mingo Valley Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Harrison Chatham, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. What's more, Chatham also racked up three blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kai Chinowth, who went 7 of 15 en route to 16 points and six rebounds.

Hulbert's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mingo Valley Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Hulbert and Chouteau-Mazie will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Mingo Valley Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oklahoma F at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
