Baseball Recap: Orangeburg Prep Victorious

Orangeburg Prep won the last time they faced Holly Hill Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Orangeburg Prep Indians walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Holly Hill Academy Raiders.

Hunter Judy made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tilden Riley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Morrison Burroughs also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Orangeburg Prep's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Holly Hill Academy, they moved to 1-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Orangeburg Prep will host Heathwood Hall Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orangeburg Prep is facing Heathwood Hall Episcopal at the right time seeing as Heathwood Hall Episcopal is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Holly Hill Academy, they will head out to square off against Colleton Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
