A Season-Best Effort from Luke Ellspermann Leads Evansville Memorial over Evansville Reitz

On Friday, Evansville Memorial got the W thanks in part to Luke Ellspermann playing the best football he has all season. Ellspermann picked up 201 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 62 yards.

Evansville Reitz had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Ellspermann it was a similar story. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Ellspermann saw the Panthers), he rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 76 yards and a touchdown on only six passes.

Castle Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Max Mccool

Max Mccool's big game helped extend Castle's winning streak to five on Friday. Jasper had no answer to Mccool as he rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown. Mccool's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 117 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Unfortunately for Jasper, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mccool. Mccool rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry the last time he and the Wildcats duked it out back in September of 2023.
