Cape Fear Christian Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Crossroads Christian Colts. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-1 victory back in September.

Cape Fear Christian Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-12, 15-12.

Cape Fear Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crossroads Christian only served four.

Crossroads Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophie Wade, who had 33 digs. Wade has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played. Avery Ranes was another key player, getting 17 digs.

Cape Fear Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Crossroads Christian, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
