Baseball Game Preview: Briarcrest Christian Saints vs. Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish

For the second straight game, Briarcrest Christian will face off against Knoxville Catholic. The Saints will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Fighting Irish at 4:00 p.m. Briarcrest Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Briarcrest Christian barely beat Knoxville Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Saints blew past the Fighting Irish 9-1 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Lance Bryan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
