Volleyball Recap: Lakeview Charter Comes Up Short

Lakeview Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Bert Corona Charter Knights, falling 3-0. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

While Lakeview Charter ultimately came up short, they really made Bert Corona Charter work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 27-25, 25-17.

Lakeview Charter's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bert Corona Charter, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Lakeview Charter Lions challenge San Fernando Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. After both having extra time off, Bert Corona Charter and CHAMPS will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another at 2:00 p.m. on March 26th.
