Basketball Recap: Richland Northeast Comes Up Short

Richland Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 73-33 loss at the hands of the A.C. Flora Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-38 back in January.

Despite the loss, Richland Northeast saw an underclassman step up: freshman Reece Jackson posted nine points. Emmanuel Ard was another key player, putting up nine points.

Richland Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for A.C. Flora, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Richland Northeast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 52-50 loss against York on the 11th. As for A.C. Flora, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-33 win against Dreher on the 7th.
